2024

Global Make Some Noise - Charity Walk Event

We helped to organise 'Des's Great Walk to Glasgow,' which was a 84km walk from Fife to Glasgow in 24hrs! This included designing the route, obtaining filming permissions, providing training, equipment and nutrition advice, walking guides and a safety / support team. It was an outstanding effort from Des to successfully undertake this challenge and raise over £30k in the process.

Smuggler TV Commercial

We supported Smuggler with their commercial by providing production risk assessments, water safety team, safety boat and ongoing safety advice. Their commercial was based at Loch Lomond and surrounding mountains - a stunning place for any production!

Frankenstein

We provided a water safety team and safety boat for Frankenstein when they shot in Scotland.

Karen Pirie Season 2

Season 2 of Karen Pirie filmed at a disused quarry and at some coastal caves. We provided safety advice for these locations and provided a safety team to help cast and crew working safely at height and around water.

Never Seen The Sea

Never Seen The Sea was a really interesting and good project to be involved with. We helped with water safety and working at height requirements. This included attending recce's, providing health & safety advice, a water safety team and two of our boats. Filming took place at some very remote and difficult to access locations in the north of Scotland.

The Buccaneers Season 2

LS Productions

Outlander Season 8

It is once again really great to be working with the Outlander team when they are filming at height or near water. We are proud to have been involved with every season of Outlander from when they started 10 years ago!

LS Productions - Commercial

It's always great to work with our old pals at LS Productions. They were servicing another large commercial that was filming on mountains, in rivers and in lochs. We helped recce their locations and provided a safety team and safety boat on the shoot days.

2023

The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford

The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford we were filming above an exposed cliff edge. We provided safety advice during their recce and a safety team to help manage the cast, crew and SA's on the day of filming.

Row

We gave health and safety advice and wrote Row's production risk assessment for their feature film, as well as providing a water safety team to help coordinate filming at sea.

Harvest

The film production Harvest needed water safety support for filming on lochs and at gorges. We provided a water safety team and boats to help them work on water and work at height safely, along with a floating pontoon for a lighting position. Always great to work on the west coast of Scotland.

Filming Scotland

We assisted a Filming Scotland with a german feature film by writing their production risk assessment.

River City

It was our pleasure to help the River City cast, SA's and crew film safely on a jetty.

SAS Rouge Heros Season 2

SAS Rouge Heros were filming in remote and difficult to access mountain locations. We provided mountain safety cover to help them work in these environments with greater confidence.

The Gorge

We location scouted early in the season for The Gorge and followed this up by providing mountain safety for their VFX team. Over 6 days the team explored stunning and remote west coast locations

It was our pleasure to provide marine safety cover for filming season 2 of Float at a west coast beach.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz

Graeme was invited to join the Synchronicity Films production team as Health and Safety Manager in Slovakia for the production of The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Music Video - Water Safety

We provided a safety boat and a water safety person during the filming of a music video for Ellen de Faux Ltd. A lovely day, stunning location and great team.

BBC Radio 4

We provided mountain safety, guiding and logistical support for a sound recording on the Cullin mountain range , Isle of Skye. It's not an easy place to access and to work, so very well done to the radio 4 team for achieving so much.

Mary & George

We supported Mary & George during their recce's around Scotland and provided water safety cover and stunt support for sequences in a river. A good fun few days!

Comic Relief - Red Nose Day Challenge

For Comic Relief and alongside TwoFour Productions we helped to plan and execute a 4 day winter expedition across the Cairngorms for three celebs. Planning this complicated expedition took several months and even then we were still at the mercy of Scottish winter weather! We provided lots of expedition advice and training, a large safety and porter team, logistic support and ground coordination. A great fun project for a very good cause.

The Veil - Turkey

We were involved with this large production shooting in Turkey. The work involved providing mountain safety advice as well as looking after a large crew in a remote, hostile and snowy location.

BA Commercial - Somesuch

We provided a safety boat and rescue swimmer to support a Somesuch commercial for British Airways in a very chilly loch at the start of the year. Brrr...

It's always a pleasure to be involved with The Crown. Last year we helped scout various locations and this year we supported with mountain safety on their recce.

BBC Radio 4 - Ben Nevis

We guided a small radio crew into the north face of Ben Nevis for a recording. A lovely day out with a lovely team.

We provided technical support to ensure climbing equipment was fitted correctly during a Hello Halo Kids/ BBC Scotland studio production.

Black Mirror - Netflix

Liam location managed an episode of the latest Black Mirror season, and we also provided a water safety team for a river night shoot.

We helped Rogan Productions film off the west coast of Scotland with a marine safety team and small RIB.

RAW TV

We have had a busy year helping RAW TV with their shoots both in the UK and overseas. We continue to provide safety for working at height, operating in remote locations, marine and water safety.

It was great to work The End We Start From team helping them film safely at a remote west coast location. We provided health and safety support, risk assessments and a safety team for when they were working at height and in the sea.

Only a very small requirement for us on Mayflies episode 1 with some basic water safety support at a Scottish beach.

The Outrun

Our team helped look after the cast and crew of The Outrun when they filmed at sea cliff locations around Orkney. Another lovely job with a great crew.

LADbible

LADbible shot a commercial on our home turf. In addition to providing safety to their contributors and crew who climbed, canoed, biked and hiked, we also location scouted and provided location advice. A great job with a great team.

Annika Season 2

We are very happy to be providing water safety and working at height safety for crew working on the 2nd season of Annika.

Buchaneers - Apple TV

We provided water safety and working at height safety on season 1 of Buchaneers. This involved recce'ing locations, helping train cast, providing RIB's and specialist rigging for working around sea cliffs. Good fun work with a great crew!

Lion TV

We supported a Lion TV wildlife documentary in Alaska. It was a logistically complex shoot into a remote area of Alaska that was only accessible with helicopter and rope access.

BBC Scotland Radio

We guided a small BBC Radio Scotland team up a graded winter route in Glencoe as part of their recordings of 'As Cold as a Mountain Top' series. An ambitious and technical undertaking for anyone. Very well done to the team for a successful shoot.

We provided advice on appropriate locations for Snow White, and helped them access remote and challenging locations throughout the UK. More details to follow...

Outlander Season 7

We have been helping Outlander access and work at challenging locations since season 1 and it's been great to kick things off this year with season 7. So far we've been helping with water safety and boat work. Always good fun and grateful for the work.

Mercy Falls

We helped the team on Mercy Falls film in an icy cold Scottish river (in the dark!), work safely height at exposed edges and to access remote and dark mines. All good fun and a great team.

Recipe Productions were filming an advert in a Scottish loch and required a water safety team and a camera boat. We were happy to help out and keep everyone safe and dry (well almost everyone....)

Shetland Series 6

Great to be helping the team on Shetland and in Shetland work close to very high exposed cliff edges and on piers and jetty's.

Passport Productions were filming a sequence in a Yorkshire forest that had difficult access. We had a small mountain safety/ rescue team help out for a couple of days.

LS Productions - Barbour

It was nice to kick things off as lockdown began to ease with a commercial for LS Productions. We helped looked after a small crew on some east coast sea cliffs, and returned later in the year to help out with more cliffs and boats.

2019

Infinite

We helped the locations department at two tricky locations as well looked after crew working at height and in exposed locations during the filming of Infinite. A good fun job that was shot in some challenging but stunning places.

This was a very large feature film that will be realesed August 2020.

Pelorus Adventure

Pelorus delivered an action packed few days for a luxury watch brand ambassadors, which included climbing mountains, helicopters, kayaking, Aston Martins, tyroleans and enjoying the Highlands of Scotland

We gave lots of location and activity advice as well as providing a safety team to look after their talent.

A great fun job in a beautiful part of Scotland

The Crown Series 4

Several weeks of the The Crown Season 4 were shot in Scotland. We had mountain and marine safety teams with them throughout and Liam was part of the location managment team in Scotland.

The Nest

The Nest filmed at a difficult to access canyon and on roof tops. We had the pleasure of making safe these locations and looking after them during filming.

Outlander Series 5

We continue to work on Outlander as and when they need to be around water or cliff edges. We've been involved in every series of Outlander and it's always a pleasure to work with the team.

James Bond. No Time to Die

Liam was location manager in Scotland as well as location scouting in Italy for James Bond, No Time to Die. We also had a mountain safety team with the 2nd unit who were filming on the remote and very wild headlands of the Faroe Islands for several weeks.

We had the pleasure of looking after crew during the filming on Wonder Woman in the UK and Canary Isles.

LS Productions - Location Managing

This March we were part of the LS Productions location managing team who worked on a large American reality TV programme that was shot in Scotland. It's always great to work with the LS team. This job was no exception.

Fast & Furious 9

We location scouted various remote, mountainous and forested locations around Scotland for Fast & Furious 9

2018

MARIONETTE

Marionette was filmed around the Moray Coast at various harbours and at sea. We looked after the crew when the were dressing rocks and moving about exposed quaysides. We also provided safety boats, divers and helped co-oridnate all marine safety, which included filming at night.

Limbo Productions

Limbo Productions were shooiting a small feature film in the Outer Hebridies using boats and filming on jetty's. We helped them manage cast and crew safely in these locations and provided safety/ support boats.

THE CROWN SERIES 3

The Crown Series 3 were filming close to cliff edge on the Welsh coast. A small MWSS team identified safe working areas and managed camera teams who needed to be closer to the edges.

LS PRODUCTIONS

A trip out to an old sea fort near Grimsby to help LS Productions with their photo shoot. Another good fun job for the LS team.

TV PRODUCTION

A Portuguese TV production had a scene with two cast on a small rowing boat. We were very happy to provide water safety cover for the day through Plum Films.

SMUGGLER PRODUCTIONS

Another job for Smuggler Productions. This time providing safety advice when filming with boats in the North Sea, including night passages and transferring crew/ equipment between boats at sea.

SMUGGLER PRODUCTIONS

Great to be working with Smuggler Productions again. This time at a coastal location with big cliffs, which was part of their commercial.

THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL

The Discovery Channel had a small film crew wanting to go over a remote, highland rock cliff as part of a documentary.

It's always good to help look after the LS Productions Team, especially at Alladale Nature Reserve.

POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU

Location scouting and lots of cliff and water safety for Pokemon Detective Pikachu. This was shot at various technical, very challenging and dynamic locations that required safety teams to help with access, train stunt performers, provide safety cover to stunts, safety advice and look after crew. We had a safety team of 15+ and a large portering team spread accross the country doing an excellent job of keeping cast and crew safe.

The A List required safety advice and safety management while filming in a quarry next to unprotected edges.

During the filming of Artemis Fowl we provided surf lifeguards and safety RIB in the north of Scotland to help look after stunts and crew

2017

OUTLANDER SERIES 3

Filmed on location at Dunure Harbour. Our responsibility was to keep people from falling off the harbour edge and to provide water rescue cover.

SECRET COMPASS

To help prepare camera operators working for Secret Compass for an ascent of Mt Elbrus we delivered some winter mountaineering training in the Cairngorms

KEEPERS

Shot on location around the Mull of Galloway. Many Keepers locations were at exposed cliff edges, which we managed using rope systems, and inshore waters where we provided safety RIBs, support boats and surface water rescue. We also provided RAMS and gave safety advice during planning and recce stages.

MARAMEDIA

Filming on the remote and very serious sea cliffs of Unst, north of Shetland, we helped the Maramedia team with access for filming a wildlife documentary. Their chosen spot was 200m's down a steep sea cliff on top of more steep cliffs!

LS Productions

Required a water safety team to look after their crew whislt filming at coastal and river locations in Scotland during July.

Outlaw King

We provided lots of marine, river and cliff safety for the Netflix production Outlaw King. This included looking after stunts in water scenes and going over waterfalls, training cast in white water swimming techniques and looking after them in fast flowing rivers, and managing crew safety on steep hill sides and river banks. We had a safety team of 18+ who were all very busy delivering film safety to the highest level possible.

MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS

We location scouted and location managed a number of locations. Our talented team also provided safety on Mary Queen of Scots. This was another very big production that kept us busy. Locations included remote mountains, cliff edges and rivers with waterfalls where we managed crew safely away from danger, provided first aid and trained stunts swimming in a moving water environment. We also had a large team of porters helping move kit in remote areas with poor access.

Outlander Series 4

Outlander had a coastal location that required a safety boat and rescue swimmer to look after cast and crew working near water edges.

2016

AVENGERS, INFINITY WAR

We location scouted Edinbugh and Glasgow city locations for Avengers Infinity Wars.

Trainspotting 2

We provided basic mountain safety and a team of porters on Trainspotting 2 when they were filming on a small city centre hill in Edinburgh.

Location scouting and location managing 'Hunter Killer' for Millennium Films during their Scottish plate shots.

Reading Rocks

We provided mountain safety and support during the filming of Reading Rocks for Tessa Power.

1745 is a short film directed by Gordon Napier. The film used river locations on the west of Scotland which we helped scout and manage the crew and cast in.

For a military advert shot in the Cairngorms we helped with location advice, RAMS, safety equipment and safety team. The commercial was produced by Smuggler.

OUTLANDER SERIES 2

During the second series of Outlander for Sony Pictures we provided water safety cover and a safety boat when on location at a Scottish harbour.

King Arthur

We looked after a large crew during the filming of King Arthur for Warner Brothers. Locations includes mountain tops, canyons and steep hill sides. Our talented team allowed the production to access these challenging and remote locations safely, as well as assist stunts with rigging and installing edge protection rope systems. We also advised suitable helicopter shots and provided logistical advice for flying in NW Scotland.

2015 North Face Survey

We helped Hot Aches access the north face of Ben Nevis to film the 2015-01-01 North Face Survey which is an ecological and geological survey of the area. We were working for Maramedia.

Prometheus

We provided cast and crew safety whilst filming Prometheus on location on Skye. We used steep mountainous locations that were serviced by helicopters.

We provided stunt safety rigging and co-ordination for a studio based scene.

'Camp Orange' a Nickelodeon Production

Graeme co-ordinated the rigging and provided the safety cover for this two week childrens show pilot. Filmed in and around difficult to access gorges and other chanllenging locations.
